Before assessmentYou may receive screening forms so the clinical team can review core symptoms, history, current functioning, and referral questions before the main sessions.

Foundational Assessment
50-100 minA licensed clinical psychologist with assessment training completes the foundational clinical assessment.

Final Assessment
50-100 minDr. Zuhaib Ali reviews the findings, screens for psychiatric comorbidities, applies specialised diagnostic instruments where needed, and discusses the assessment findings with you.

Report Preparation

The full assessment usually spans 1-2 weeks. ADHD-only and ASD-only assessments include 50-minute foundational and final assessment sessions; combined ADHD/ASD assessments require 100 minutes for each of those two steps. ADHD pathways also include a 15-30 minute medical review by a licensed medical practitioner or neurologist to consider medical or neurological factors that may contribute to ADHD-like symptoms. ASD-only assessments do not usually require this medical review. After the final assessment, the written report typically takes about one week to prepare.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do these assessments cover comorbidities alongside ADHD/AuDHD, including PMDD, RSD, COPD and dysthymia?
An evaluation of possible co-morbid conditions is carried out within these assessments, but only in enough detail to understand whether they could be contributing to your ADHD/ASD-like symptoms.
Does everything happen on the same day?
No. Some steps can happen on the same day, but the full assessment usually spans 1-2 weeks. The report is prepared after the final assessment and typically takes about one week.
Can I book an urgent assessment or urgent consultation?
These assessments require a coordinated team effort, and there are hard limits to how many assessments we conduct each week in order to maintain a quality service. For this reason, assessment appointments cannot be scheduled on an urgent basis.
I already received an ADHD or ASD diagnosis from Dr. Zuhaib Ali. Do I need the full assessment?
Not necessarily. If you already received a verbal or summarised ADHD/ASD diagnosis, or a relevant prescription, from Dr. Zuhaib Ali, you may be eligible for the report-only pathway. This includes one 50-minute session to fill gaps in our existing records, followed by one detailed ADHD or ASD report. It is not a new diagnostic assessment.
Will I get an accommodation letter?
Not as part of this assessment itself. Official formats and policies for accommodation letters in most institutes and organisations require us to evaluate whether you are following the appropriate treatment for any condition you have been diagnosed with, and whether that treatment is working out for you. This is why an accommodation letter is usually written by the mental health professional you follow up with for treatment, such as a psychiatrist or therapist, after a couple of follow-ups. However, the assessment report itself can be instrumental in helping you request reasonable adjustments, depending on your institute's policies.
Will medication recommendations or a stamped prescription be included?
This package is focused on assessment and diagnostic clarity. General guidance on next steps is included in the final discussion and in the report, but prescriptions, pharmacological treatment planning, and medication follow-up are handled separately through psychiatric care when clinically appropriate.
Can I share a symptom timeline document before the sessions so the doctors are prepared?
You may receive screening forms before the assessment to help accelerate the process. Relevant timelines, records, or collateral information can also be reviewed when requested as part of information gathering.
Can the assessment be done online?
Yes. Online assessment is possible for many adults, and the report-only pathway is also available online or in person. We will advise if any part of your assessment would be better done in person.
